Tariffs Again? Here’s How We’re Navigating Uncertainty

Tariffs. They’re on again. Postponed. Off again. Back again.


How is this round going affect my orders? How can we plan in this kind of environment?

 

Like many of you, we’ve felt frozen at times. We’re smack dab in the middle of it, selling robots to manufacturing companies like yours. And like you, we’re an American manufacturing company. We’re grappling with the same questions you are. I talk to our suppliers. I talk to our customers. We’re all in the same boat. The only thing we certain about? Uncertainty.

 

But this isn’t our first rodeo and I know it’s not yours either. Orders go up, down, and up again. And while we’re not really hurting, we’re using this time to set us up and prepare for the next rush. My VP says, “Put your money where your mouth is.” So I did.

 

We’ve expanded robotic automation throughout our own facility and we’re adding more. Because finding skilled people when you need them? That’s not getting any easier. And the team we have can do so much more than stand in front of machines changing parts.

 

Yes, we use our own machine-tending robots to tend our own machines. We even develop custom OB7 solutions for ourselves, just like we do for our customers. While our CFO says don't spend the money, it’s small compared to the business we’ve had to turn away when we’re busy.


So here’s my ask:
